Sasha Feldman (b. 1988)

Sasha Feldman is a visual artist and curator living and working in New York City. As a sculptor passionate about the materiality of clay, Sasha creates large-scale and discrete works that explore a wide range of art historical interests. The play of tensions and dichotomies where movements intersect is central to Sasha’s aesthetic. From the gestural impulses of Modern Abstraction, the vibrant palette of Pop Art, the elegant geometries of Neo-Platonism, and the idolatry objects of Indigenous Art, each of Sasha’s pieces investigate the convergence of Ancient, Modern, and Retro aesthetics. Born and raised in New York, Sasha received his BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) 2012.
