Shelley Burgon x Cornelius Dufallo

Longtime collaborators Cornelius Dufallo and Shelley Burgon reunite for an hour long harp and violin performance exploring themes of transience and idealized memory. They will sonically retrace their steps from their initial meeting in 2005 in the lower east side of NYC playing under the baton of Butch Morris, through their tenure as members of the chamber ensemble Ne(x)tworks (featuring Joan LaBarbara) and a period of disconnection, up to the present moment. Both musicians have been regarded as sympathetic interpreters of the New York School of composers and continue to champion new classical music as performers and as composers. Tonight’s concert marks the beginning of a new musical chapter for this duo.
