Laptop LIVE @ Ki Smith Gallery

To celebrate the release of the End Credits EP (June 25 everywhere) - a rare New York show from Laptop (Jesse Hartman). Just the man and his laptop in his own neighborhood at the Ki Smith Gallery .

First emerging from NYC in the late ’90s,  Hartman’s Laptop project built a cult following through lo-fi electronics and sharp, literate songwriting with early support from John Peel in London, later signing to Island Records, releasing three albums to critical acclaim in the UK from The Guardian, Melody Maker, NME, Dazed, Uncut, Evening Standard, The Independent amongst others.

The track End Credits has recently been revisited and covered by Depeche Mode/Erasure synth overlord Vince Clarke, bringing renewed attention to the project.
