Show description: A big focus of my ambient work is live instrumentation and improv. This is an ode to my Dad who taught me how to play this way. I like to work with guitars, harmonica, four track cassette tape recording techniques (like backwards tape loops), percussion and drums, and various other synths and effects. Jazz is definitely a big element in the rhythm/drums and the brokenness of the loops. Everything is very free and almost unsynchronized - influenced by 70s and 80s jazz fusion and ECM Records.
