Experience the Gabriel Maia Trio live as they present Para Começar (“To Begin” or “To Start”), a project that explores the vibrant intersection of Brazilian rhythms and modern jazz improvisation. Drawing inspiration from samba, baião, and choro traditions, the trio reimagines these sounds through the lens of contemporary harmony and storytelling in instrumental music. The trio also features Eduardo Belo on bass and Guilhem Fourty on drums and is being produced by Arthur Weiss. We invite you all for this special night!
Gabriel Maia
Gabriel Maia is a Brazilian guitarist and composer blending the rich traditions of Brazilian music with contemporary jazz. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees, Gabriel has performed with Grammy Award-winning artists including Danilo Pérez, John Patitucci, and Brian Blade. His creative work spans solo and ensemble projects, with releases like the EP 'Para Começar' and albums with Trio Misturada and Banda Nova Malandragem.
