About the event
Prior to arrival at Ki Smith Gallery, guests will have the option to choose between three different time slots to enjoy Consume, Conform, Collapse in our lower level. Options include 7:00-7:20pm, 7:30-7:50pm, and 8:00-8:20pm. The entire exhibit will run from 7-9pm, with an opportunity to meet with performers afterwards.
Dway Lunkad: Dway is a multi-disciplinary artist, based in Brooklyn, NY and New Delhi. His work reflects on the relationships between the built environment, its memories, and us as its residents. The way we choose to tell the stories passed down through history, altering, distorting, and transforming, touched by people and matter in search of a way through. He engages with architecture, the archeological, and Patterns of Being, weaving narratives that connect the contemporary to the historical. Themes of displacement, time, and material knowledge often inform his process.
