About the event
Lorraine Leckie is singer songwriter and poet who was born on a horse in Northern Ontario surrounded by the music of Neil Young.
In the ’70s, she embraced punk and became a makeup artist. Leckie worked in the fashion industry and with celebrities such as Paul McCartney and Heidi Klum.
After a decade in Europe, she settled in New York. At 37, she picked up a guitar and began performing at venues like Bowery Ballroom and Mercury Lounge.
Lorraine currently lives in Greenpoint Brooklyn with her husband, Billy Leroy and a diabolical Irish terrier called Broghan.
