Installing an irrigation pipeline at the Lenin Collective Farm, near Byshkek (Frunze), Kyrgyzstan. The pipe needs a protective coat of hot tar before it is buried. As with seemingly all Soviet agriculture, men operate machines and women do the heavy lifting. May 1992.
