BASE 12: Don't Call It a Comeback
March 3 – TBD, 2020
New works by Caslon Bevington, Ryan Bock, Morell Cutler, Jay "The Love Child" Gittens, Alana Dee Haynes, Kolter "Senor Melon" Hodgson, Charlie Hudson, Julia Powers, James Reyes, James Rubio, Bruno Smith and Sei Smith.
For the Ki Smith Gallery team, the health and safety of our visitors, collectors and artists is paramount. In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are temporarily closed and have unfortunately suspended all programming in our physical location until further notice.
Recognizing that gallery closures and exhibition cancellations have hugely impacted artists worldwide, leaders of the Christie's CSR Employee Initiatives generously organized Fight Coronavirus & Artist Aid, a recent virtual auction to benefit artists and those working on the frontlines fighting this pandemic.
We were honored to have all sixteen of the Ki Smith Gallery artists invited to participate in this important initiative, which successfully raised over $50,000 for the GlobalGiving Coronavirus Relief Fund and working artists from around the world.
Many thanks to all who donated to this important cause, and huge congratulations to all of the winning bidders on the exciting new additions to their collections! As a small business, we are so grateful for the outpouring of support you all have shown us during these turbulent and uncertain times.
